What Type Of Shades Do You Offer?
At Blinds Arizona, we offer a wide range of HunterDouglas shades designed to fit both your style and functional needs. Here’s a look at the different types of shades we provide:
Cellular Shades - These shades feature a unique honeycomb construction that traps air, providing excellent insulation for your home. They help regulate indoor temperatures—keeping it warm in winter and cool in summer.
Roman Shades - Known for their timeless elegance, Roman shades feature soft or crisp folds that lay flat when lowered and roll up neatly when raised. Available in a variety of fabrics and colors, they’re perfect for any design style.
Roller Shades - A simple yet stylish option, roller shades are made from a continuous piece of fabric that rolls up or down. With endless fabric, color, and pattern options, these shades offer sleek, minimalist appeal.
Woven Wood Shades - Crafted from natural materials like bamboo, reeds, and grasses, woven wood shades bring an organic, textured look to your room, adding warmth and earthy style while also filtering natural light.
Sheer Shades - If you love natural light but want to reduce glare, sheer shades are ideal. These shades diffuse sunlight beautifully while adding a modern touch to any window.
Vertical Shades - Perfect for large windows, sliding doors, or patio doors, vertical shades provide privacy, prevent glare, and allow for controlled light filtration in any room.
Energy-Efficient Shades - Many of our shades, especially Cellular Shades, are designed with energy efficiency in mind. They trap air, creating an insulating layer that helps reduce energy loss through windows, making your home more comfortable year-round.
Light-Filtering & Room-Darkening Shades - Whether you want soft, filtered light or complete darkness, we’ve got you covered. Light-filtering shades soften harsh sunlight, while room-darkening shades are perfect for bedrooms or media rooms where blocking out natural light is key.
Motorized Control for Shades - Enhance your convenience with PowerView® Automation from HunterDouglas. You can control your shades remotely, set automated schedules, or even use voice commands through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Motorized shades also help with privacy, security, and energy efficiency by adjusting based on your schedule.

Motorized window treatments offer a blend of convenience, style, and advanced technology that can elevate the functionality and aesthetics of your home. Here are some key benefits of choosing motorized window treatments:
Convenience: With motorized window treatments, you can effortlessly control your shades, blinds, or drapery with the touch of a button, via a smartphone app, or through voice control using smart home systems like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Whether you’re adjusting a single window or multiple rooms at once, motorization makes it simple.
Energy Efficiency: Motorized shades can help regulate the temperature in your home, enhancing energy efficiency. You can schedule your shades to open during cooler parts of the day to let in natural light and warmth, and close during peak heat to keep the home cooler—helping to reduce energy costs.
Enhanced Privacy & Security: Automate your window treatments to open and close at specific times, giving your home a “lived-in” look even when you're away. This not only increases privacy but also provides an added layer of security. You can also close shades with a simple command, enhancing privacy in any room instantly.
UV Protection & Light Control: With motorized window treatments, you can precisely control how much natural light enters your space, protecting your furnishings, artwork, and floors from damaging UV rays. Set your shades to adjust throughout the day to prevent harsh sunlight while still allowing natural light to brighten your space.
Safety for Children & Pets: By eliminating the need for dangling cords, motorized window treatments create a safer environment for children and pets. This cord-free design is not only modern and sleek but also ensures a hazard-free home.
Customization & Smart Home Integration: With HunterDouglas’ PowerView® Automation, motorized window treatments can seamlessly integrate with your smart home system, allowing you to schedule your shades to move automatically based on the time of day or even outside weather conditions. Choose from battery-operated, rechargeable, or wired power options for flexibility in design.
With motorized window treatments from Blinds Arizona, you get an effortless combination of beauty, functionality, and cutting-edge technology to fit your lifestyle.

How Long Does the Installation Take?
The installation time for your custom window treatments depends on the size of your project and the number of windows being treated. Typically, here’s what you can expect:
Smaller Projects (1-3 windows): Installation can take between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the complexity of the window treatments and the type of product you’ve selected (e.g., motorized vs. manual).
Medium Projects (4-8 windows): For mid-sized projects, installation generally takes 2 to 4 hours.
Larger Projects (9+ windows): For larger homes or more extensive installations, it can take 4 to 6 hours or more, depending on the number of windows and the customizations involved.
For projects involving motorized shades or smart home integrations, additional time may be needed for setup and testing to ensure everything works perfectly. Our professional installers will work efficiently to minimize disruption to your home and ensure everything is installed to your satisfaction.
How Do I Find What Levels of Energy Efficiency, UV Protection, Privacy, and Light Control My Window Coverings Provide?
At Blinds Arizona, we offer a wide range of HunterDouglas window treatments that provide varying levels of energy efficiency, UV protection, privacy, and light control. Here's an overview of what you can expect:
Energy Efficiency:
While all HunterDouglas window coverings help improve comfort, some, like cellular shades, are specifically designed to save energy by providing insulation at your windows. For more details on energy efficiency ratings for specific products, feel free to ask our specialists or visit the Attachments Ratings Energy Council for independent, reliable information about how much energy certain blinds, cellular, roller, and solar shades can help save.
UV Protection:
All window coverings offer some level of UV protection, with the level increasing when the treatments are fully closed. However, products like Designer Screen Shades (solar shades) are specifically designed to block harmful UV rays, blocking up to 99% of UV rays. This makes them ideal for protecting your interiors from sun damage.
Privacy & Light Control:
The level of privacy and light control depends largely on the opacity of the fabric you choose. Sheer fabrics allow more natural light to enter while offering less privacy. On the other hand, blackout fabrics block nearly all light and provide maximum privacy. You can select from a range of opacities depending on the room and your preferences. For more details on fabric opacity levels, check out our Opacities Buyer’s Guide or speak with one of our design experts.
